How should we provide for children, young people and families in the future?

Bothwell Parish Church recognises that much has changed over recent years in how children, young adults and families choose to interact with each other and with organisations. To ensure that we provide something that is valued in the future by our community, we need to take stock of what we do now, understand better what our children, young adults and families need in today’s world, research great ideas in practice elsewhere and develop a plan for our future.

To do this, a short-life working group has been appointed to prepare a report for the Kirk Session detailing what we do now that should continue, what should change and what will be needed to make such changes happen.

A survey has been created to allow everyone with an interest in the Church, the Church Centre and the wider community to share their thoughts on what we are doing and what we should do in future. Please do help us by completing it. Click to visit the online survey. It will only take a few minutes and your response will be anonymous. Responses collected will be analysed collectively and all data will be destroyed after completion of the final report.

If you would like to contact us with questions about the work or have suggestions that you would like the working group to consider, we would be delighted if you would email the Church office, through the ‘contact us’ section of this website, marking your email ‘FAO Hazel Scott’ or, alternatively, speak to any of the working group members.
